“Reversing the aging process is something many people would like to make happen for themselves. There are books galore on the subject and most of them haven’t got a clue what they’re talking about. But when you’ve lived it for yourself like J. Collin Towers has, it’s hard not to believe it can happen to you, too.

Here’s a 60-year old man who has done what he needs to do through diet, exercise, supplementation, sleep, and detoxification to have the biological age of a 40-something! Towers contends “aging is a choice” and he has chosen to put himself in the best position possible to keep himself fit, trim, and as “young” as he can possibly be. His methods for getting there may sound somewhat familiar to people following the latest scientific advances in nutrition and health.

- Keep insulin levels low by avoiding sugar
- Don’t over indulge on refined carbohydrates
- Stay away from starchy foods
- Avoid overcooked food and toxins in your meals
- Consume adequate fiber daily
- Use coconut oil in cooking for health and weight benefits
- Exercise regularly
- Eat enough protein to preserve muscle mass
- Get plenty of free radical-fighting antioxidants
- Beware of pharmaceutical drugs
- De-stress your life as much as possible

These are all excellent strategies to implement for anyone desiring weight loss and health improvements. However, there were a few concepts Towers shared that I thought were a bit off the beaten path from my experience. He promotes “calorie restriction” but doesn’t really say what levels calories need to be at. Is it 1500? 1000? 500? Who knows? He mentions controlling insulin levels (vitally important to this conversation), but isn’t quite as explicit in saying that it is carbohydrate control that makes that happen.

Then in a seemingly conflicting recommendation to his previous mandate to avoid prescription drugs, Towers promotes and advocates the diabetes medication Metformin as a “metabolic rejuvenator” that is an important part of the anti-aging process. While I don’t have a personal issue with this particular medication taking it myself for a 10-week period, but isn’t it contradictory to blast pharmaceuticals and then recommending one? To his credit, natural alternatives to taking Metformin are shared in the book which include eating low-glycemic index foods and taking in plenty of antioxidants through a variety of foods and supplements.

But there is ample information provided within the 500+ pages of this book about the vitamins and minerals that can help lead you on the right pathway to being healthy and younger: magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin B, fish oil, and so much more. In fact, there is so much information provided in page after page that it can seem overwhelming at times. I had some trouble trying to understand why certain things were tied together like they were thematically and wondering if maybe some better formatting might help assimilate the information better. To his credit, for the most part Towers kept it on topic.

Promoting whole foods like real raw milk, berries, non-starchy vegetables like broccoli and spinach, avocados, stevia, raw cheese, butter, salt, and grass-fed animal products, this book is a walking-talking encyclopedia of information designed to take away the arguments people have of living healthy. It’s not impossible if you are willing to Stop Growing Older…Grow Younger!”

Munching on fresh organic broccoli sprouts can help protect your stomach from the germ responsible for many cases of gastritis, ulcers, and stomach cancer, and supply you with a wide range of nutrients.

Certified organic broccoli seeds have just recently become popular after the discovery that they contain the amazing cancer-fighting phytochemical, sulforaphane.

According to researchers from Johns Hopkins University, eating just a few ounces of broccoli sprouts each day can significantly reduce your risk of developing ulcers and stomach cancer. The researchers also found that inflammation levels in the stomach were reduced by consumption of broccoli sprouts.

Broccoli’s protective benefit comes from its high levels of sulphoraphane. In addition to functioning as an antibiotic, this chemical stimulates the body to produce a number of enzymes with different health benefits. Prior research has shown that some of these enzymes protect the skin from sun damage, while others act to reduce inflammation and prevent heart disease.

Recently, an extract made from broccoli sprouts has been found to boost your body’s natural ability to defend against the ultraviolet solar rays that cause skin cancer, reveals an article published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. If a sunscreen product could be developed from the extract, it could provide key advantages over typical sunscreens lotions, not recommended since they contain numerous cancer-causing chemicals.

Studies have shown that broccoli sprouts contain 50 times more sulforaphane than fresh broccoli. What’s more, sprouting broccoli seeds contain glucosinolates and isothiocyanates, substances that keep your cells from becoming malignant, at one hundred times greater levels than in fresh broccoli.

Since the first findings on the cancer protective effects of sulforaphane were published in 1992, an outpouring of scientific work has shown that these compounds from broccoli and broccoli sprouts can play an important role in enhancing the body’s own natural protection mechanism against chronic disease.

In addition, organic broccoli seeds are sources of plant estrogens, similar to human estrogen, and are helpful in cases of PMS, menopause, hot flashes and fibrocystic disease. Nutrient dense, sprouting broccoli seeds are rich sources of vitamins A, B, C, E and K, anti-oxidants, the minerals calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. They also contain carotene, chlorophyll, amino acids, trace elements and antioxidants. Organic broccoli seed sprouts are a great source of protein as they contain as much as 35% protein.

Organic Sprouting Broccoli Seeds:
• Excellent source of protein
• Full of anti-oxidants
• Perfect for edible sprout seeds
• Easy and economical to grow

You can grow broccoli sprouts right in your kitchen. You can pick up sprouting jars at your health food store or you can order them on line. This is the closest thing to gardening without the garden. I feed my sprouts colloidal minerals so they come out loaded with nutrients.

Make sure you stock up on plenty of broccoli sprouts. They are easy to grow and extremely nutritious. To order the same organic broccoli sprout seeds that I use, go to:

As you are making a conscious choice to stop growing older, to maintain and enhance your health, to become younger and healthier, you may wonder who can you trust? The sudden deaths of Michael Jackson, and Billy Mays and the traumatic, all-too-soon death of Farrah Fawcett have opened up your eyes and inspired you to start your own personal health revolution. So where do you turn? Who can you trust?

There are thousands of websites, countless newspapers, magazines, books and other publications offering health advice. Every few minutes, we see multi-million dollar TV ads for diet aids and miracle drugs. Whose advice do you follow? Who do you believe? How do you determine their real motivation? Can you trust your doctor? Michael Jackson had major problems brought on by a combination of pain, sleeplessness, and a history of prescription pain medication abuse. He trusted his doctors.

The Mayo Clinic recently reported that between 10% and 20% of doctors are likely to become addicted to pain medications at some point in their careers. That is absolutely beyond belief. This means that up to 1 in 5 doctors is likely to be or become a prescription medication drug addict! An estimated 300 to 400 U.S. doctors kill themselves each year — a suicide rate thought to be higher than in the general population.

The Food and Drug Administration recently assembled experts for a two-day meeting to discuss and vote on ways to prevent overdose with acetaminophen, also known as paracetamol – the pain-relieving, fever-reducing ingredient in Tylenol and dozens of other prescription and over-the-counter medications. Despite years of educational campaigns and other federal actions, acetaminophen remains the leading cause of liver failure in the US. According to the FDA, acetaminophen sends 56,000 people to the emergency room annually, with about 200 acetaminophen-related deaths each year. One reason is that acetaminophen is found in many drugs like Anacin-3, Liquiprin, Panadol, Percocet, Tempra, and various cold and flu medicines. People don’t realize that they are overdosing by taking more than one medication for their illness.

The average life expectancy in the US is 77.9 years old. From 1984 to 1995, the average life expectancy of doctors was 73 years old. It is interesting that the vast majority of American doctors are clueless about how to stay healthy or choose not to take the time to bring health to their own lives. Four out of five doctors do not take care of their own health. They have the expertise to diagnose a disease and then prescribe drugs to control symptoms.

Researchers at the United Kingdom’s Bedford Hospital surveyed their doctors and found only 21 percent get the recommended 30 minutes of moderate exercise at least five days a week. The doctors blamed lack of time, lack of motivation, and lack of workout facilities. Previous research has shown doctors who exercise are more likely to recommend to their patients to do the same. Many doctors don’t exercise so they don’t promote regular exercise among their patients. In interviews with more than 1,800 adults, researchers found that only 28 percent of patients said they were being advised by their doctor to set up an exercise program to maintain good health. It is virtually impossible to stay healthy without exercise. It simply cannot be done.

The lesson here is, if you do not exercise, you will not advise anyone else to exercise. This is unfortunate, as those who live by conventional medicine tend to die by it—and kill by it. It is a proven fact that physicians’ personal health habits may affect how they counsel their patients. It’s a case of living by example. If your doctor smokes and is overweight, he is less likely to recommend that you quit smoking or tell you that you need to lose weight. If your doctor is dealing with the pressures of his life by abusing prescription medication, he is more likely to tell you that more medication is the answer to your problems.

Preventive care, not treatment, is the answer. Drugs, surgery, clinics, and hospitals are not the answers for chronic health problems. Enabling and supporting the natural healing capabilities that we all have is the key. Improving your diet, eating more super-foods, getting enough quality sleep, fresh air and sunshine, and regular exercise are the basics to good health.

History has left us with many lessons where the treatments recommended by doctors have turned out to be complete disasters. After all, doctors are not gods. They are human. Their license to practice medicine does not make them infallible, wise or sensible.

Can you trust your doctor to make healthy recommendations to you, his patient, if he has not bothered to make healthy choices for himself? You need to be sensible, take matters into your own hands, and make choices that ensure your health. Stay away from over the counter pain medicines and make sure you get enough exercise, even if your doctor does not. You must choose to educate yourself about all treatment alternatives available and make educated, healthy lifestyle choices, like those contained in the book Stop Growing Older, Grow Younger.

Or, at least, they’re becoming concerned about sharing their market share with natural or herbal remedies. They have been directly and indirectly pulling out the big guns to discredit alternative medicine.

I did a lot of reading this past week on the media criticism of alternative medicine. I found it interesting that many of the recent articles are written by the same woman, Marilynn Marchione, the designated AP medical reporter. I found health blog after health blog, one written by a physician, astounded at her blatantly biased reporting. In Marchione’s articles, every new pharmaceutical drug, like Proscar, Crestor (a statin drug for lowering cholesterol), Plavix (a blood thinner) is hailed as the greatest answer respectively to conditions like prostate cancer, blot clot risk, stroke prevention when taken with aspirin. The virtues of Provenge, a vaccine that may extend prostate cancer survival by just a month are extolled. Colon cancer patients are encouraged to take a costly gene test with the implication that it will predict if they are at higher risk of recurrence after surgery. But the gene test does not predict who will and who will not need chemotherapy. You can read the details of her optimistic reporting on the pharmaceutical company products at www.newsvine.com . When Marchione composes a negative report about pharmaceutical drugs, coincidently, there are newer, patented drugs to take their place. Her article about antidepressants and the higher risk of breast cancer return discourages the continued use of Eli Lilly’s Prozac, Pfizer’s Zoloft, and GlaxoSmithKline’s Paxil, all now available in generic form. No worries, though. You can try the new patented antidepressants, Eli Lilly’s Cymbalta and and Wyeth’s Pristiq. Wyeth was acquired by Pfizer in January, 2009. GSK has a new antidepressant in the works, but as of the end of 2008, had not received FDA approval.

Every Marchione report on alternative or natural medicine is filled with cautions and warnings about preliminary results and the implication that you can’t be too careful. She tells us that fish oil capsules have no additional benefit if you are a heart attack patient taking the right pharmaceutical drug. Hidden in the article is a casual comment about the research not addressing whether the fish oil could help prevent heart disease and heart surgery. Marchione warns of financial ties between alternative medicine advocates and the schools that teach about alternative remedies. She has no concern when financial ties exist between pharmaceutical companies and the doctors that enthusiastically support the use of their drugs. She uses scare tactics, directed at cancer patients, about non-traditional medicine, implying that if it’s an herbal treatment, a special diet, super-foods, or some other alternative treatment, it may just be a scam. Marchione is even cautioning cancer patients that they could be interfering with their chemotherapy by boosting their immune system with herbal supplements. The advice is to throw out the herbs and not fight the effects of chemo. And, she tells us to beware of toxins in supplements, without mentioning that the FDA has allowable contaminant levels in everything we consume, including melamine in infant formula

One of Marchione’s headlines read, “Alternative Remedies Research Bill: $2.5 billion. And Government-funded studies prove few cures.” The implication was all this money was spent in the futile effort to prove nutrients or herbals remedies are effective and valuable. Owen Fonorow of VitaminCfoundation.org composed a rebuttal to the Daily Herald that published her article in their business section. He wrote:

Dear Daily Herald,

Your pharmaceutical company inspired propaganda about alternative medicine on the front page of today’s business section by AP writer Marilynn Marchione is extraordinarily poor reporting for a “news” paper.

A real report from a real news reporter would have interviewed people inside the NIH, people such as Mark Levine, who have found it almost impossible to get real alternatives studied in this big-pharma controlled bureaucracy. Most of the 27 billion annual taxpayer supported funding goes to support pharmaceutical interests. Check it out. …

I have some knowledge on these matters. The Foundation I founded has tried on two occasions to get funding from the NIH to study Nobel prize winner Linus Paulings’s alleged cure for heart disease. We were turned down twice. This is a matter of public record. To date there have been over 1000 studies of the cholesterol lowering drugs, but not one, zero, nada, no studies of the Pauling therapy for heart disease.

In my research, I didn’t find a direct link between Marchione and the pharmaceutical industry, but it’s clear she shares a common philosophy if nothing else.

The recent article questioning of Oprah’s desire to educate the public about medical and health alternatives was written by Weston Kosova and Pat Wingert in a Newsweek issue and then picked up by other news sources. Pat Wingert is the co-author of a pharmaceutically based book on hormones and menopause. A typical issue of Newsweek contains about $2 million worth of pharmaceutical ads.

The general consensus is that the pharmaceutical companies are feeling threatened by the public’s shift toward alternative treatments. Although the traditional treatments and drugs are covered by their insurance policies, people are choosing to pay out of pocket for something that may be more effective and have fewer or no side-effects. They have discovered through their own medical treatment experiences and the health concerns of their friends and family that traditional treatments are not always effective and may not preserve quality of life when addressing a life-threatening condition. Before the internet was commonly used to share experiences, most people had no source of information about medical treatment other than their doctor or TV and magazine ads. Now that we can communicate across the world and view one another’s feedback on drugs, treatment protocols, and possible alternatives, learning the truth, Big Pharma can’t fool us anymore. Let’s keep them running scared. Help me get the truth out.

As our government promises health care reform; as our elected officials continue to flex their political muscle, we have to ask if they have ever considered what American citizens really want. Will the final product be a re-allocation of payments to the pharmaceutical companies, medical institutions, and insurance industry based on who has the most compelling lobbyists? Or, will the voices of the American people and their doctors be heard to establish a health-care system based in freedom of choice; choice of healthier, less expensive options? Will the new health care incorporate the best of traditional medicine (diagnostics and trauma care) and alternative medicine to affect the root cause with the goal of reversing and eliminating the disease? Will we be able to throw out the destructive cycle of managed sick-care and the use of pharmaceutical drugs with wide-ranging side-effects to embrace a course of wellness and longevity for every American.

Estimates on the costs of health care legislation vary depending on the estimating source and which version of the bill is considered. Two senate sources say that the Finance Committee version of the bill will cost $1.6 trillion over 10 years. The Senate, Health, Education, labor and Pensions Committee version would cost $1 trillion over 10 years, covering about one-third of nearly 50 million uninsured. A Finance Committee Democrat aide, speaking anonymously, said the goal of the Obama administration is a cost of less than $1 trillion over ten years.

Follow this link to hear what Congressman Ron Paul, who practiced medicine for 30 years, says about the past and future of medicine, the effects of managed care, government intervention, and well-funded special interests on the quality of, costs of, and access to health care.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foXQbmZxWYY

One problem is lack of competition. All inclusive, comprehensive coverage provided by insurance policies encourages people to seek medical intervention for every little problem. It also encourages the over-pricing of all services and products covered in those policies. There is no incentive to be conservative in treatment and to use natural, nutrition alternatives to pharmaceutical treatment.

American medical care is the most expensive in the world, with the U.S. spending over twice as much per person as most other industrialized countries. At the same time, the U.S. has fallen to last place among those countries in preventing avoidable deaths through timely and effective medical care. The New England Journal of Medicine published a report in 2008 saying that 90 percent of Americans believe our medical system should be “completely rebuilt” of that “fundamental changes” are required.

As long as the health care focus is on pharmaceutical and surgical responses, we won’t see these needed fundamental changes. Medically unnecessary surgeries are one reason for the rapidly increasing cost of health care. The WIP.net website lists cesarean sections and hysterectomies as the most over-used surgeries performed. The National Center for Health Statistics says that in 2006, 4.3 million births were surgical, with costs ranging from $2,000 to $200,000 each. A report in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology says that a planned cesarean birth cost averages 76 percent more than a vaginal birth. The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that more than one-third of American women have had a hysterectomy by the age of 60. More than half have had their female organs removed by age 60. Nora Coffey states in her WIP article that the HERS Foundation in Philadelphia found, after 850,000 counseling sessions, that 98 percent of hysterectomies could be avoided with conservative treatment or not treatment at all.

We cannot wait for a roomful of politicians, influenced by lobbyists representing the pharmaceutical, medical, and insurance companies, to shift the consciousness to true health and health care. This change will have to come from you and every individual. We need to change how we view our own health and our responsibility for our health. We have to make the choice to educate ourselves about healthy lifestyles and primary prevention through the consumption of organic foods and nutritional supplements. We have to choose, with our dollars, non-toxic, unconventional, or alternative treatments that will prevent and heal illness. We have to make our choices clear to our government. The Obama administration, through the internet, through email campaigns, through direct solicitation of comments from Americans citizens, has directly tapped into what we want, in unprecedented numbers. Educate yourself, make choices about your health, and let your state representatives and the Obama administration know what you want and how you want your health care dollars spent.

Kava Kava is a member of the pepper family, first named Piper methysticum by Captain James Cook during his first voyage to the South Pacific. The indigenous people have consumed kava for the last 3,000 as an end of the day drink, bringing them tranquility of both body and mind.

The kava plants are grown in the micro-nutrient containing fertible volcanic soils of Kona Hualalai Mountain. Hawaiian Kava Kava has gained the reputation of being one of the strongest Kava’s available with up to three time the concentration of Kavalactones than species grown in other parts of the world. Kava Kava contains antioxidant carotenoids, including alpha and beta carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin and cryptoxanthin that boost immunity and give protection against certain cancers. These health benefits result only when the nutrients are consumed together from natural sources as opposed to synthetic sources that isolate the nutrients.

The National Institute of Mental Health reports that during any six month period of time, nine million Americans suffer from a depression related illness, costing this country $30 billion per year in lost productivity. Many people turn to the prescription drugs Prozac, Valium, and Xanax to ease their stress, lift their mood, and calm their nerves. The side-effects listed for these drugs include seizure disorders, vision problems, headaches, anorexia, neuromuscular problems, and psychosis. These drugs are known to be addictive.

Kava Kava offers a natural, non-addictive, alternative with its anti-depressant, stress-relieving, and muscle relaxant properties. It is a natural sedative producing calmness, promoting sleep and relaxing muscles to soothe an aching back, sore neck or any other tense, cramped, sore, or injured muscle.

After clinical studies, some European countries have approved Kava Kava’s use for anxiety, depression, insomnia and restlessness. Its historic uses include relieving headaches, restoring vigor, soothing an upset stomach, easing asthma. Kava Kava is a diuretic, used to treat gout, bronchial congestion, and rheumatism. It has effectively treated fungal infections, soothes insect stings and other skin inflammation. Regular Kava Kava drinkers have been known to recover from active cases of gonorrhea, perhaps because of its anti-fungal properties.

All Kava cultivars are sterile and require human intervention to propgate. The Kava Kava grown at Kona Kava Hawaiian Kava Kava farms is organicly grown, using crop rotation, field hiatus and natural fertilizers to maintain and enhance the soil’s fertility. The result is a crop that is the most potent available, Kava Kava, the elixir of peace.

KONA KAVA FARM – MORE THAN JUST KAVA!

Their organic-certified farm is nestled on the fertile volcanic slopes of Kona’s Hualalai Mountain, famous for producing Hawaii’s most sought after coffee. They offer an unmatched variety of organic Kava products, because you’re buying direct from the growers. Only Kona Kava Farm grows the coveted 426 strain of Kava; the most potent variety.

American adults, age 60 and older, are now saying that they are not “old” until they reach age 75. Russell Ward, a sociologist who focuses on aging at the University at Albany, says “What you find is the older people are, the more they push back the age that is old. It’s more in your future.”

Baby boomers fuel this kind of resistance because they grew up as a youth culture and don’t want to give in to old age. Their parents accepted aging and the declining abilities, the pains, and infirmity that come with it. The boomers are determined that their retirement years won’t be spent sitting in the rocking chair on the porch. They are redefining the aging years by remaining active and energetic. They are embracing their middle age years and senior years with the same intensity that they lived their teen years and the years of idealistic rebellion as young adults. The boomers are now fighting for fair treatment with regard to medical coverage and employment as they age. They will not go quietly through any phase of their lives.

Twenty-five years ago you would never see advertisements on TV for hair dye, or any mention of ED for men. Now you have “Just for Men™” and “Viagra™” commercials on all the sports shows gearing to a largely male audience. Men understand that youthful appearance and sexual vitality are important signs of healthy living.

According to a recent survey by Pew Research, senior adults say they don’t feel old. Out of respondents ages 65 to 74, only 21% said they feel old. Among those 75 and older, just 35% say they feel old.

Overall, 60% of adults age 65 and older say they feel younger than their actual age. (They must be reading my blog and my book) The study points out that 13% of the US population—39 million Americans—is 65 and older. This figure has tripled from 4% in 1900. In 2011, 76 million baby boomers will turn age 65 and by the year 2050, about one in five Americans will be over age 65. Five percent will be age 85 and older…up from 2%.

People are living longer and we are evolving into an older society. This will become more apparent when the new wave of adults enters older age.

Pew researchers also asked what age people would like to live to if they could remain independent and healthy. The average response was age 89. About 20% said they would like to live well into their 90’s and only eight percent said they would want to live past 100. I’m sure they chose an age based on the health or sickness of people they know of those ages. Not me, I plan on hitting the 150 year mark while still having my wits and good health. Why not start your own personal health revolution and join me?

Most people I see every day, all around me, are on an aging acceleration program. They’re eating fast foods, fried foods, processed foods, white bread, sugar laden sweets, drinking pasteurized milk, sodas, and polluted water, coating their skin with toxic sunscreen and perfumed products, using commercialized underarm deodorant, toothpaste, and mouthwash, washing their clothes in cancer-causing chemical detergents, taking disruptive pharmaceuticals with many negative side-effects, overusing antibiotics and choosing many other age accelerating actions. They are destroying their own health in every way imaginable.

This is the accelerated aging program to which many Americans currently subscribe because this is what they have been conditioned to do, by our government, our government officials, drug companies, food manufacturers and companies, advertising agencies, and international conglomerates.

Obesity is proliferating in the US. No doubt, many are already metabolizing cancers and liver disorders that will be diagnosed later in life if they do not first die of a heart attack like over half a million Americans did last year.

Over 3.7 million Americans weigh over 300 pounds with the average adult female weighing in at 163 pounds.

The key to becoming younger and healthier is simply avoiding the accelerated aging program everybody else is on, stop eating junk food, and lose weight. People look at me and say, “You definitely do not look your age. You look really healthy for being 60 years old.” The main reason why I look and feel younger is I do not put poisons in my body.

The National Center for Health has been tracking America’s obesity problem for over forty years. Check out the latest statistics:

Worried about Alzheimer’s disease? Evidence increasingly suggests that DHEA is essential in maintaining the function of brain cells. Neurologists speculate that DHEA supplementation may be an important ingredient both in slowing the progression Alzheimer’s and in treating the sort of degenerative memory disorders that often arise in old age.

Recent research confirms again and again that DHEA is completely non-toxic and can ward off numerous diseases. Six adults out of every ten have allowed themselves to become overweight to the point of disease. The evidence is now overwhelming that being even moderately overweight is linked to insulin resistance, adult-onset diabetes, heart disease, buildup of plaque in the arteries, stroke, numerous forms of cancer, premature senility and Alzheimer’s disease—all of which increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. A recent study reported elderly men and women with low levels of the hormone and who supplemented with DHEA for six months, had significant reductions of abdominal fat and improvement in insulin action.

DHEA supplementation benefits:

Transports body fat from storage to the muscles for disposal

Improves your immune system

Increases feeling of well-being

Fights auto-immune diseases

Boosts energy, increases libido

Improves heart health

Increases lean mass and muscle strength

Improves your concentration

Promotes deeper and more restorative sleep

Increases muscle strength and physical mobility

Prevents hair loss

Demonstrates a number of reverse aging properties

Reduces cortisol, the stress hormone

Daily dosages vary from as little as 5 to 10 mg to as much as 2000 mg. The generally suggested dosage is 25 to 50 mg taken in the morning before breakfast. The proper dosage is the amount that will bring your blood DHEA and DHEA-S measurements towards a 20 year-old adult level. You should have blood tests done to determine this.

I take a 25 mg DHEA capsule in the morning before breakfast, and one 25 mg capsule in the late afternoon for my overall youthful, mental and physical energy, mood, and well-being. DHEA is a very important supplement to help me reverse my aging.

I have studied many brands of DHEA supplements and chose BioSynergy™ DHEA. BioSynergy™ DHEA has been and is currently being used as the DHEA of choice for hundreds of clinical studies around the world. Their DHEA is made from the highest quality, pure pharmaceutical grade raw materials available with guaranteed potency. It doesn’t contain yam like other DHEA supplements on the market.

Bee Pollen is one of the most well known reverse aging super-foods on the planet today. Bee pollen is one of nature’s most complete foods and is a complete source of protein, rich in 44 vitamins and amino acids, 27 mineral salts, hormones, beneficial carbohydrates, and fats that offer more than 5,000 enzymes and co-enzymes necessary for digestion. This dense super-food contains the ingredients necessary for natural energy, and the continuation of life itself. Many nutritionists call bee pollen “the perfect food!”

Bee pollen is rich in the bioflavonoid rutin, important for capillary strength, and in vitamin B12. It is, in fact, one of the few vegetable sources of vitamin B12. Bee pollen may even prevent cancer. The Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research in NYC has been studying the effects of bee pollen on various types of cancer with positive results.

One of the most important bee pollen facts is that it is rich in antioxidants; pollen contains more than 185 of the best known nutritional ingredients beneficial to humans. Bee pollen has been scientifically proven to be an immune system booster, is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, and contains a wide array of essential proteins. Bee pollen has more quercetin (the most potent flavonol) than apples.

Bee pollen has appetite-suppressant properties and can be used to support weight loss. It corrects a possible chemical imbalance in body metabolism that may be involved in either abnormal weight-gain or abnormal weight-loss. It is nature’s true dietetic weight-loss food.

Bee pollen stimulates every organ in the body and has been linked to increased longevity. Lars-Erik Essen, M.D., a dermatologist from Sweden, says, “Bee pollen seems to prevent premature aging of the cells and stimulates growth of new skin tissue. It offers effective protection against dehydration and injects new life into dry cells. It smoothes away wrinkles and stimulates a life-giving blood supply to all skin cells.”

Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, believed bee pollen contributed to a long life. Russian researcher Professor Nicolai Vasillievich Tsitsin, a biologist at the Longevity Institute, discovered many of the natives of Georgia were beekeepers and ate raw, unprocessed honey with bee pollen every day. All of the 200 or more people he studied, who were past the age of 125, stated their principal food source was pollen and honey. Dr. Naum Joirich, chief scientist at the Longevity Academy in Vladivostak, said “long lives are attained by bee pollen users and that bee pollen was one of the original treasure houses of nutrition and medicine.”

Bee pollen can keep the skin youthful looking. Lars Erik Essen, M.D., a dermatologist in Halsingborg, Sweden, said that pollen exerts a powerful biological influence in preventing premature aging of cells and stimulating growth of new skin tissue.

Bee Pollen benefits:

Mental clarity and concentration.

Support for weight loss naturally as it balances hormones and chemicals in your body.

Improved metabolism and reduction in food cravings.

Effective lowering of HDL cholesterol levels.

Contains a vast array of phytonutrients that slow the aging process.

Prevention of prostate problems.

Potent immune system booster.

Powerful detoxifier.

Bee pollen is one of the oldest, most researched, healing foods on the planet. Its complete nutrition is beneficial to anyone looking to improve their mental and physical health, and overall well-being.

I take one heaping tablespoon of bee pollen in the morning and one in the late afternoon as an integral part of my reverse aging regimen and to boost my energy.
